Memories of Stan Nadler

If only for one day I could pay tribute to my father today would be that day. Eight years ago today, on a snowy afternoon my father, Stan Nadler passed away from a massive heart attack. I am thankful for the memories I have of him. There was something special about this man. He was not just a father, husband, or brother, he was the thread that kept a family together. He was a friend to the local alcoholic and the neighbor who was there with a phone call. He was the guy who would give the homeless guy a lift and buy him a meal. He was the man who made you laugh and enjoyed life to the fullest. There is no one like him and he is missed everyday by anyone who got the privilege to know him.

Snowboarding at Arapahoe Basin, Colorado

We went to the mountain at the legendary Arapahoe Basin with a summit elevation of 13,050 feet. The snow was fresh with over a hundred trails. We stayed on the green slopes since this was the first time Pete and the boys went snowboarding. We had so much fun we are already planning our next trip. Pete and Hayden took on snowboarding like pros with no lessons. Ian was a little stubborn and only wanted to go down a couple of times and complained the rest of the day. Overall, we had a great day and I am happy that I now can enjoy one of my favorite hobbies with the men in my life.

Hayden and Ian are ready to hit the slopes.

Hayden ready to try again.

Here is Hayden telling us that he loves snowboarding.

Hayden was not happy that the fun had to end.

Pete, Hayden, and Ian posing for a photo right before leaving. Hayden was not happy that we were leaving.

I wanted at least one picture with my boys. Hayden was not happy since were leaving and he pouted all the way to the car.

10 Year Wedding Anniversary

We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary having dinner at our favorite restaurant, Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano. We usually only go to this fancy restaurant once a year and we look forward to it.

These were the beautiful roses Pete gave me.

They have a great wine selection. Too bad we don't drink wine.

Happy New Year!!

We stayed home and celebrated the New Year with our sweet boys. We ate lots of goodies and watched a favorite movie. They really like blowing those horns.
We each made a New Year's Resolution: Pete says; "do a triatholon for the first time". Kelly says; "finally going to scrap those baby albums". Hayden says; "learn to ride a skateboard". Ian says; "eat more cookies". Since I posted this perhaps we will follow through. Happy New Year!!
