International Day

Hayden's kindergarten class was doing a unit on "My Country 'tis of Thee". Each student chose a country to learn about and do an oral presentation on. Hayden chose Portugal since his father and grandfather were both born in Portugal. Hayden did a great job! Hayden wrote his name and the country on the back of the flag. Here is the Portugal flag that Hayden made.Hayden and I made these yummy Portuguese donuts for his class.

Here is Hayden's presentation. You will want to hit pause on my playlist. Although, it is hard to hear Hayden's little voice. Here is what he said; "The country I'm studying is Portugal. This is its flag. And this is where it is it on the map. This is a CD of the National Anthems and we are going to hear the Portuguese National Anthem. I chose it because I am proud to have family from Portugal. I also brought Portuguese donuts for everyone."

Girls Spring Crop Weekend

This weekend my Stampin' Up girls and I went to our Annual Sring Crop Weekend. Our fun weekend was at Quaker Ridge Camp Site in Woodland Park. We arrived Friday afternoon in the middle of a snow storm. We conveniently came when mother nature gave us a little break. Friday night through Saturday snow piled up to 2 feet. The view was breathtaking, the food was great, and we got so much stuff done. Here are my favorite girls; Dana, Michele, Susie, Jen, and Nancy. Here is a view of our crop space. Group photo right before entering the dining hall. This is the view from our crop area.Trekking through the snow.Snow piling up on the deck. The snow on the mountains was so cool!We had so much fun together.

Easter Sunday

Hayden was up at 6:30am and ready to see what the Easter Bunny brought. It was still dark outside and snowing. He was so excited! Ian rolled out of bed about 6:50am in a daze. He wanted to place all the gel bunnies on the window. We then went to the Easter Service and brunch while trekking through the slushy snow.

Indoor Soccer

Hayden started Indoor Spring Soccer this week. He played his first game of the season today. Hayden loves soccer and he wants to play everyday. This season, his greatest improvement is definitely teamwork.Hayden and his best friend, Iley.

Easter Activities

We had fun coloring eggs and the boys picked out Star Wars for their decorating. Our recreation center was hosting a Easter Egg Hunt outside, but we had an unexpected snow storm and everything was moved inside. Hayden and Ian had a great time searching for eggs. Hayden loved getting his face painted and there was a clown making animal balloons. It was fun!Hayden chose a fire breathing dragon for his face. Here are the animal balloons, except Ian's did not keep its shape.

It's the Easter Bunny

We had breakfast and pictures with the Easter Bunny at our local rec center. Hayden and Ian were so excited to see the Easter Bunny today. Hayden was not sure if he was real or if it was a person inside a suit. He is still contemplating on that.Ian would only sit in the chair if the Easter Bunny was not around.
