Kindergarten Graduation

Hayden graduated from Kindergarten today. We could not be more proud. He has achieved so many milestones this past year. Hayden learned to read and has decided that once you know how it is so much fun. In fact, Hayden was in the top 3 students and achieved 4,565 reading minutes during the school year. He challenges himself to read bigger and bigger words everyday. His goal is get to level 3 by the end of summer. Hayden has also learned how to add and subtract. He thinks it is funny to quiz everyone in the house. Hayden has also improved his writing. His writing is even legible.

Hayden's elementary school had each student come up and receive their certificates of achievements. Hayden received certificates for Knowing his Pledge of Allegiance, his address, his birthday, his shapes, his time by the hour, reading all colors, his ABC's, and counting to 100. He is so proud of himself and so are we!We could not be more proud of our little man!Ms. A told us that Hayden is her "most serious student"!Hayden and his Kindergarten teacher, Ms. A.Hayden and his friend, Iley.Hayden and his friend, Tallie.

Our Preschooler

Ian completed his first year of preschool. He has grown in so many ways. At the beginning of the year, he would say that he was sick in order to stay home. Now, he is upset when it is not a school day. Ian's favorite part of preschool is the art table. The minute he walks in, he sits at the art table. He loves posting all of his artwork on the refrigerator at home. Although Ian is very independent and strong minded, he has learned to join in fun activities such as the marching band. Anyone who knows Ian, knows this is a huge accomplishment. Ian has learned his ABC's, numbers to 40, and cut & paste. We are so proud of our little guy. It is so much fun to watch our little boy mature into a preschooler.

Today was Ian's last day of Preschool. Each child brought their own stuffed bear from home and we had a picnic lunch outside. Ms. Julie read a book about bears having a picnic. It was so cute! We then played games such as Red Light, Tag, and the colorful parachute. The parachute game was a favorite. Here is Ian's teddy bear bounced in the air from the parachute.

Memorial Day

We are thankful for all the men and women who fought, and died for our country. Since America united as one nation, this great country surrendered its bravest to liberate the oppressed and ensure freedom for its citizens and future generations. Battle lines were drawn and blood was spilled on U.S. soil and foreign lands. These were the sacrifices made in America's wars. We are truly the home of the brave. God Bless America!

Spring Time

Spring is everywhere. I love planting new flowers, baby birds on our porch, ladybugs, butterflies, and everything turning green. Hayden helped me plant some flowers in our flower bed today. He is such a big helper. Here is a ladybug Hayden found.Baby birds in their nest.

Soccer Ends

Hayden had his last soccer game Saturday for this season. If Hayden had it his way; soccer would be year-round. His favorite sport is soccer. He is already talking about Fall Soccer. Hayden received his medal from his coach and they had a pizza party. As you can see from these pictures, he was very sad.

Celebrating Mother's Day Weekend

This Mother's Day weekend was so much fun! I first went to a 6 hour crop at Archiver's Friday night. I was able to complete several projects. Then Saturday I went shopping for me. Anybody who knows me, knows that I have a hard time buying for myself since I would prefer to buy for our boys. I only bought clothes and scrapbook supplies for me. Ya Me! Sunday we went to the Outback for Mother's Day lunch. I know, I really like to please the men in my life. We had a great time!Ian did not want to give me his cute smile.Hayden loves having his picture taken.Ian always sits next to me when we go out.
